About the event

The Spirit of American Citizenship Monument was constructed in 1997 to celebrate Gadsden's sesquicentennial. The Family Success Center keeps the spirit alive through its annual Spirit of Citizenship Award, bestowed on someone deserving in the community. This year, we honor the committee whose vision and efforts brought us the monument.
