ALABAMA HEALTHY MARRIAGE  AND RELATIONSHIP EDUCATION INITIATIVE The Alabama Healthy Marriage and Relationship Education Initiative is a federally-funded program throughout the state. The grant is through Auburn University in conjunction with the Childrens' Trust Fund of Alabama. The Family Success Center is one of eleven sites throughout the state at which ACHMI offers free courses to help improve relationships and to ensure that children in Alabama receive the support from parents and families that will allow them to develop with positive and healthy attitudes. The following courses are available through AHMREI. Check the Class Schedule and the Calendar to find when the courses are available. Smart Steps for Stepfamilies This course is designed to help couples and children who have entered into a step-family relationship. Together We can A course designed to assist non-married or remarried parents in working together to raise children from original relationships. Basic Training for Couples A course designed for premarital couples or those already married about the "pros"; of marriage. Mastering the Mysteries of Love Designed for couples, teaching them how to improve their marriage to help guarantee success. Relationship Smarts A curriculum that offers practical guidance for building relationships that are not based on physicality. How to Avoid Marrying a JERK or JERKETTE A curriculum designed for singles, premarital couples, or newly singles. This class is for anyone who wants to know how to find a mate who is compatible.
